I have a Hotpoint Aquarius wf210/1100 spin washing machine with a very noisy drum when spinning. I have looked at some sites on the web and it sounds like the drum bearings, Are they expensive to buy. And would i be able to change them my self??????

    Thanks

    Re: Drum bearings

If the machine is under five years old I would strongly advise you to contact the Indesit Company. Two different types of bearings used. Very difficult to remove, often requires new drum shaft and even rear drum half.

You will get all the parts free, you will only have to pay the labour, not worth getting stuck halfway through and finding you cannot repair it.

    Hi Jim
    Thanks for your reply.
Any ideas how much for an engineer to carry out the work???

    Re: Drum bearings

Is the machine under or over five years old. If it is under then it is very doubtful a local engineer would be able to do this repair for less than Hotpoints labour only charge.

If you live outside London it will cost just short of ninety quid.
