drum removal from candy csn62t model

Hi,

I’ve been trying to remove the drum from the outer casing by punching the spindle with a rubber hammer but without any luck.Any ideas on how to best remove it.Thanks. ❓

Put the nut back on the shaft so as to protect it, leave it sitting slightly proud of the end of the drum shaft. After that it’s brute force and ignorance, up to a point as well as luck in that it doesn’t get damaged.

Thanks kwatt,you’re right,the drum spindle needed a good bashing to get it loose,but so did the inner and outer bearings!!!How on earth do I put the new ones in, without damaging them 😕 How about greasing or do I need a specialist tool?

I’d check out the videos on bearing changes on YouTube…it’s a lot easier than explaining it in detail..
