ParticipantHello everyone.
I have a Miele professional washing machine type Ws5446 MC 23. The strangest thing is happening. The machine works properly for one or two loads. All stages work perfectly(temperature is ok, spin , rinse). Usually on the third load, when it should start spinning the 4th light starts blinking and the drum will not spin. It goes through all stages after that like this. (No spinning and blinking light). If I take the machines plug out and leave it for some time after I plug it in again the machine will work properly. For one or two loads. Then again I have the same problem. What could be causing this?

Sounds like its motor related, either that the motor is going out on thermal overload oor that the brushes are worn.
Is it the little giant type semi commercial machine, not sure of that model you quote.October 21, 2014 at 9:01 am #420475marzzz

Hello Seamy. Thanks for your reply. It is quite a large machine. I found a link to a manual https://www.gebruikershandleiding.com/M … 22978.html so you can get an idea of the model. (in Dutch 🙁 ). I think that this model does not have a brush at all. Concerning the thermal overload can I get some tips concerning what I should check? I will also be checking the forum to get an understanding of what thermal overload means exactly!

Thermal overload device would be a component imbedded in the windings of the motor which would go open circuit if the motor got too hot therfore shutting it down untill it cooled below a set temperature again.
The user information linked is in Dutch so not much help, it does look similar to Miele Little Giant semi commercial products WS5426/ 27 that were in UK, they had brush type motors. Not certain though. -
