ParticipantHello everyone and nice to meet you.
i had a problem with my dryer timer it get stuck couldnt turn it, was send to get repair but they said there wasnt any timers for this machine so better buy another one typical around here.
i toke the timer out and disassembled it and it was a simple metallic spring that got out of its place the one that makes all the tic when we turn it.
since i im new to this i ended up opening all of the timer and atm i am a bit confused with the first wheel that is connected to the motor because it does 2 things and i dont know what they are and i think i need to leave that wheel in a certain position so it all makes sence so i am asking some help about what is happening in there.
i can see that in that wheel we have 2 concave parts and 1 convex so when it turn 1 time it activates something 2 times and the other 1 only 1 yet i cant pass this :(.
so i am asking if someone with the knowledge could give me some light on the matter so i could close my timer and try it out pls.

Brave move taking a timer apart.
Purely from a safety point of view i would strongley recommend buying a new timer.
The timer controls the element, drum rotation direction, cool down period and obviously the cycle time.
If u dont have the timer assembled exactly as it should your dryer becomes a real fire hazzard!!!
Sorry for not being of more help but i believe any so called expert in the appliance repair business would give you the same advice.

thanks Gerry, thats why i said its (expert).
needs to be seen from someone that understands this kind of timer cause what i am showing aint it all, there is another piece controlling a lot of other stuff but that one cant be messed up since its bulk fits one way and its done, instead of this part that can run around here before i put the other one of top.
thanks for alerting me for possible problems but i am already aware of them thats why i didnt just closed it and well lets give it a try :D.
some people like to know more others are cool with what they already know, its that simple m8.

It is almost certain that not one of the trade members of this forum would ever go to the trouble of dismantling the timer in this way. We do not have any technical information to do this even if we wanted to. We would change the timer or nothing.
What is the exact make and model number?

Then you are asking the wrong people ,the timers come as a spare part no engineer would normally have cause to strip it down.
