    Hi,

I have a Hoover 1500 Special Edition Washer Dryer. It has worked fine for 3 years or so but, during a drying cycle, it suddenly made a loudish cracking noise and started to leak water from under the machine. It was still fine during the washing cycles but always leaked when drying. I took it apart and discovered the duct feed pipe was split. I replaced this and then, after about 30 minutes of its first dry cycle, I heard the same cracking noise and it started to leak again. I assume exactly the same thing has happened and the pipe is split again. I don’t really know what I’m doing so would appreciate any help anyone can offer. Does anyone know why this is happening? Thanks,

    Chris

    p.s. it’s model number HSW 150 M-80 if that’s any help.

the cold water valve should have a flow restrictor in the end of it which reduces the amount of water going through the valve as far as i can remember, however if your water pressure is too high that can also burst the hose. when you fit the new hose try the dryer and watch the hose if it starts to swell up, if it does there is a problem and te flow restrictor may have came out.
plug out if working on the machine of course.
