DWF 416 W Whirlpool stops after rinse cycle

Hi, I have a 3 -4 year old Whirlpool dishwasher (DWF 416 W) which has stopped running. It seems to do a cold rinse but then stops, beeps and the start light is flashing 4 times when I open the door. The water left in the washer is enough to fill a large mixing bowl – about a gallon. If I clear the start and try again all I can hear is a hum from the base. Any ideas would be appreciated. Cheers.

No drain detected in the time allowed. You have a blockage. The hum is power going to the drain pump, which can’t run.

Power off, bail it out, drain pump is accessible through the lower front cover.

Beware of the razor sharp edges.
