DWF 64SSE TYPE 10045 – Help !

Hi all

My SMEG DWF 64SSE has broken, bascially when i turn it on and select a programme nothing happens, the power is getting in as the buttons light up when pressed etc. The start/stop button beeps when you press it, but basically nothing !

Shoud I try the reset procedure (door open 4 presses of the on off button) or the bendy tube cleaning procedure under the little black flap ?!?

Reset procdure will do no harm if you try it (start button 4 times BTW, not on/off). If the programme appears to select but doesn’t start I’d be more inclined to check the door latch/switch mechanism. The programme cannot start if the door is not shut properly.

From the symptons you describe their is a strong possibility you will need a replacement dispenser assy ,But you would need an engineer to verify this ,try repairs at or directories for an engineer near you
