I might have asked this already, but I can’t find it, so apologies if its a repeat.
I followed the excellent advice on de-gunking my Hotpoint DWF30 dishwasher. The only wrinkle is that when I took the door cover off, two plastic bits fell out; I can’t work out where they go. My working hypothesis is that it’s some sort of spacer used for trim panels, but I could be well off target. I’m hoping that if I describe them someone will recognise them and confirm that they’re unimportant: certainly the machine seems to work ok without them.
They’re about 2 inches in each direction, made of beige plastic, vaguely foot shaped and ribbed, the bottom (in my hypothesis) has a flat foot that runs quite nicely over the curved top of the kick panel, the top has a slot which could take a panel; there’s nothing I recognise as a mounting hole or clip.
I realise it’s a long shot, but if some recognises them please let me know; if all else fails I’ll leave them out and hope for the best.
Thanks in advance for any help
Andy
