DWF410SS major error

my smeg dw has been showing the code c 9 for the past 2 days. all of the program lights are lit constant and when i open the door the letters p c flash and then return to c9.

It had started with c3 then c5 and now is always c9. This isn’t in the book and i would love to know if there is a reset to perform on this machine please?

This is one for an engineer I think as none of those are recognised Smeg fault codes. More likely either the PCB has an error or there is another component failure that is causing a software error.

Check Repairs@ for one 🙂

Thanks for getting back to me. I opened the door turned the machine on and off and press all the buttons on the front a few times. Then all the lights went out except for the one with the glasses and then the E1 code came up. I rocked the machine back and forth as per a post on here and it went back to normal!

Although i don’t know how i managed to clear the c9 code and end up with the E1 code i was wondering if the above sounded like i stumbled across a reset? if this is the case what is the correct procedure to do a reset?
