    Can anybody help me

I have a SMEG DWF64 that just fills with water and boils it….there is a faint humming noise coming from the bottom.,…reading previous forum entries points to the circulation pump start capacitor or the pump itself

Would resetting be of any use…

Any help would be much appreciated

Re-set procedure won’t help you with this one……

You’re going to have get underneath and see what is happening. Check that the pump is free to turn, if it is you will probably need a capacitor. If it’s jammed, you’ll need to find out why.

Needless to say, power off before removing any panel.

I did what you said….up ended the dishwasher and investigated the problem a little further…it sems that the circulation pump impeller has sheared off from the motor shaft…(plastic)…only when i connected seperate power to the motor and peered down the tube was it obvious

    The motor runs fine….

I’m not really in the mood to shell out over £100 for a complete new motor/pump assy…can I buy this white impellor assy seperately or is it time for the very strong glue

The pump housing comes as a seperate item I believe, around £40 though?

Quickest way will probably be to drop an email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk and ask for p/no 690070483 – impellor and housing.
