Perhaps you shouldn’t keep chickens in it. ๐Ÿ˜› ๐Ÿ˜†

What make is this machine, is it a Zanussi?

Is it plumbed into a separate stand pipe or connected to the undersink plumbing?

When you start a new cycle does the drain pump sound to be running perfectly before starting to fill?

When you find it full of foul water, is it as soon as it has finished the programme or after it has been stood for a while?

    Thanks iadom for reply.

Vertical stand pipe with special Y splitter for Washing machine also.
The intermitant fault occures when washing machine is not in use.
Yes, Zanussi. Canโ€™t find other Mod Nos.
Tested the pump head โ€ฆ Very good output. way above the height of the machine
    Drain clear.
New pump. Old one bearing seal failed. Thought new pump would solve this probโ€™also,
    Old pump blades OK.
The pump sounds fine when running.
Foul water there after finishing and after standing a while.
If program switch is then turned, this can result in a full pump out.

I have come to the conclusion that the control rotary program switch has a bad segment.
My plan is to take the front panel off to inspect the program switch.
Have you had experience with the switch ??

    Thanks for interest.

Its possible the timer has a bad contact but is not something I have ever encountered. ๐Ÿ˜•

Poor drain is almost always connected to blockages or water getting back into the machine from dodgy plumbing.

    Hi iadom

I recently did a few washes with the drain output pipe into a buket, high and low level.
When it pumped it was very forcefull. :rolls:

Got into a ruitine now turning the prog’ switch to get e final flush out.

But i would like to solve this one.

    Thanks again
