Hi, looking for some advice here. Have the afore-mentioned Dyson, it’s about 5 years old. Never had a problem with it, now after using it to clean out the car, moved it back indoors and now it won’t start.
I’ve disassembled it far enough to get the motor out, I’ve checked continuity on the cable, that’s fine. Switch also, no problem there.
Need some guidance on where to look next, if anyone has had similar experience I’d appreciate a few pointers.

    Cheers,

    Ainslie

Assuming fuse is ok, have you tested continuity for both phase & neutral on the supply lead? I had a similar problem with a DC05 and it turned out to be the neutral within the moulded plug. My switch was wired in to the neutral which delayed me identifying the fault as I was registering voltage at the motor and assumed continuity (never assume eh!)

    Hope this helps
    Steve
