Dyson dc25 brush head

So this is my own vacuum and the head isn’t rotating, is there a common prob with these? I can get the complete head of qualtex but wondered if switches or wiring is prone to problems?

We have had a few where the brush roller motors have failed. Trouble is you can’t get the motors as a spare, good old Dyson :rolls:

I take it you have tried the motor reset switch on the side of the brush roll 😉

We have also had some where there is no power at the brush head socket on the body which has lead to a broken wire.

found a red button next too the 2 main buttons, I assume you mean that one? has continuity but doesn’t click at all?? are the motors a known weak point on these?

Found a forum on Dyson cleaners.

DC25 explosion here You can now get the brush roll motor from them as well here, much cheaper than buying the complete assembly if you need one.

many thanks, qualtex do the whole unit for 30 odd quid which seemed pretty cheap.
