Dyson DC25 Brush roller not spinning

My Dyson DC25 brush roller is not spinning , i have checked and the belt is intact and when i spin the roller everything at the belt end moves as it should do. Any suggestions as to what it could be.thanks WW.

Switch on the top in off position??

if switch hasnt been turned off then its often the lower part of the ridiculously thin lower yoke loom severing between brushroll pcb and the b.r. motor where it goes thru the rubber gromits in the plastic feed

DooooH !!!!!!! Had this vacuum a few years now and never used that button 😳 It was off . Thanks saved us a few quid. WW.
