Hi, is there / do you do vac cleaner spares?

I hate the damn things, yet we have a dyson allergy cleaner and the motors gone. (Burnt out)
Although its very clean, emery’ed the comutator, carbons OK damn thing has clearly seen better days. Any suggestions

We can provide a motor, no problem 😀 They’re around £30

Model number and colour please? ie. DC07 Purple and silver

It sounds silly, but the model number you’ve provided is too complicated.

A number off the motor would help too? ie. YDK…

You’ll never guess.
After posting here and ringing round, thought I’d have a laugh and ring Dyson’s accessories / helpline no. to see if they’d sell me one etc.
Turns out the no’ above is specific to each cleaner and from that they can look up all the details, purchase info, etc, which to be honest I couldnt even remember when much less find a receipt. But it just happens its still in warenty and a man will be comming tomorrow foc. Brilliant. So even though cleaners are crap, service is excellent. What else can I say?
I’ll have to try and figure out how all the little plastic bits go back togeather now though.

For info I think the motor no is longer but it is YDK YV-2201 3013~240
But hopefully shouldnt be needed now.
