Got an ISE 5 Mk II in the morning evidently displaying E01 error code.
Is this likely to be a door interlock problem ?

It is a doorlock fault, happened quite a lot when this machine was first introduced we had a lot of them doing this.

Failing that a new doorlock should do the trick, a HPT51 from Qualtex is a viable alternative if you don’t have an ISE one.

Before we go any further can I thank both Nigel and Jim for phoning this one in.

We have a few cases of E1 Faults displaying on the new ISE 5, even on installation, which can be more than a tad embarrassing.

Not ones to give up easily these guys found that the reason for the fault is that the Door Interlock needs to be moved fractionally to the left ( as viewed from the front) to cure the fault. It seems that the door striker is not quite pressing hard enough on the actuating gate of the interlock to get it to operate or energise.

They say that by slackening off the fixing screws and firmly holding the interlock body to the left whilst re-tightening the fixing screws normally cures the problem.

Realigned Door Interlock and Presto ! E01 gone, strange but true !
