ParticipantMorning All,
I hoping someone can assist in shedding some light on a current fault I have on the above Tumble Dryer.
I do have another post going too, so hope it doesn’t cause confusion by starting a fresh one. I just wanted to make sure I’d cover all that I’ve done, and the fault itself.
After my Dryer generating a E05 fault (model no in title) a couple of weeks ago, I went about investigating a little further, and posting on a couple of forums. It came down to being a few possible things on the dryer. The first was the NTC stat at the front of the dryer, and to be honest, seemed the most likely to me. Possibly the another option was the 2 x thermostats that sit at the rear of the dryer, and mounted on the heat element part. And finally (Or so I’ve found), it could be the PCB or board itself.
After looking into each fault area, and likelihood which one it would be, I opted to order a new NTC stat for the front, as was a cheap part. And also knew how to test the rear stats for continuity. So that is what I did yesterday. I removed the dryer from it’s home, dismantled the casing, and replaced the ntc stat at the front of the dryer. I also tested the 2 x stats on the rear, and they checked out fine. I put the dryer 90{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} back together, plugged it in, put some clothes in, and turned it on. 15 – 20 seconds later the display started flashing every light again, and the same “E05” fault code came up.
This is where I need some help. Am I right in thinking that the only other possible place for a fault is the board? I did look at all the wiring, and appeared to look fine to me. If it is the board, how do I go about testing it? And is it likely to be a very specific part of that board? Really hoping someone can assist, before my wife orders a new one.
Thank you
Paul
