I have a SMEG DFC612S which i bought back in Feb. The other day I thought it had finished its cycle, both lights were flashing to suggest that it was. so switched it off. Came home from work the next day and there was a puddle of water on the floor. Opend the dishwasher and the bottom was full of water. I shut the door turned it back on and the water drained away or so I thought! It then made a noise like there was a pump going, so left it running, Came back a few hours later, its still making the same noise! so switched off then switched off at mains. Turned it all back on, still making the same noise. So held the P button in too cancel any settings then tried to do a new wash. Looked like it might be doing it but stopped after a minute and is now flashing up the E1 code.. It continued to make that same noise the whole time. Any ideas? if I unscrew the cap where the salt goes, its still full off water? is that normal? any ideas or am I going to have to call out someone?

Flood protection is operating – the tray under the machime is full of water, thus raising the float switch.

If you only bought in February, use your guarantee.
