E5 on a Belling Dishwasher

Hiya,
Never seen one of these before. Belling IDW603.
Machine not taking in any water so I’m assuming E5 is the error for this.
Went to change the inlet valve and found it has a small cable coming out of the body of the valve to a connector block. Anyone know what this is for?
Any ideas as to the actual manufacturer and the fault codes for this m/c?

Having searched through various posts it appears that this is a smeg machine so I’ve got the error codes now thanks.

Would still appreciate some help though. Anyone know what the cable coming out of the inlet valve is for?
