ebac dehumidifier

a mate of mine has just called me and he needs a new compressor on his ebac home dry dehumidifier.
it definitely is the compressor, i could hear it over the phone.
does anyone have an idea as to the size of it? it’s a 134 system.

You need the model number of the comperessor and look for an equivalent,plenty of choice.
Possibly around a 1/5th hp but you need a replacement motor with the same displacement (cc’s) to avoid complications.

And remember that the starting characteristics are different on a dehumidifier compressor to that of a standard fridge
