Ebac are doing a “design your own washer” thing on their website.
Options, spin, programmes, motor type and even colour scheme.
Did mine £355 inc a three years guarantee.
A nice little experiment and I might even be tempted to buy one after seeing the finished product.
They even give a 5yr guarantee on Norfrost freezers.
    I wish them luck.

    Mine came to £840!

Might as well get an ISE.

    Wait a minute I already did 😆

8KG 1400 spin with hot and cold fill in white for £350 (price subject to change 😉 )was my choice.

Seems pretty cheap if they can genuinely supply a machine to individual order! Or is this just a marketing stunt?

Thought hot fill was outlawed by EU ?

That’s awesome – a really great idea. Once our Hotpoint goes then I guess I may stump up the £695 the site quoted me (I really do need to control it by my phone, yes I do!), I’d want a matching dryer though, haha.

£925 Union Jack colour, controlled by app, touch screen with non of the programs you don’t use.

    Genius.

I think they’re just using us for free market research though 😉 can’t see them building machines to order with this sort of detail.
Pity they dont though, it really would be an amazing USP and I think they would sell like hot cakes if they were built from good quality components and properly repairable.

    Can but dream… :rolls:

It would be nice if they had a durability option, eg: Light duty (up to 3 loads a week), Medium duty (4-7 loads a week), Heavy duty (8 or more loads a week).

A very exciting concept, to fight this Italian and Turkish junk head on. I wish them well. The ‘build your own’ concept with hot full and extended warranty an exciting prospect. Now we need to capture the service agency for them and this could really take off.

I have long since argued the ISE concept has chosen the wrong market place. Ebac however could come in at an affordable mass market with lots of willing independent sales/servicing agents. 💡

Quite a lot of customers would be interested if Ebac could ‘colour match’ the silvers and beiges that the mainstream manufacturers make for 15 minutes and then change the shade. They could use the vinyl wrap technology that is commonplace in car covering and signwriting.
    All the best to them!

So they genuinely intend to offer a bespoke order option… interesting.

I think offering hot fill is a great selling point in this country, the typical British kitchen/utility room has the boiler fairly close to the washer so wasted heat in the pipes is minimal IMO, and gas is still much cheaper than electricity.

I wonder if they’re going with sealed or split drums ? because quite frankly without replaceable bearings, its just another throw away.
Maybe we should do a collective plea to ask them to 😯

Re: Ebac, design your own washing machine

Hi chaps. Don’t post on here too often. Just heard about this machine the other day. Don’t know a great deal about them I must admit. I can’t quite see the point in the hot fill option. Obviously you have the wasted hot water problem, but also how many customers actually wash above 40 nowadays anyway? I just can’t see it being an issue at all for a prospective punter so not even much of a selling point.

Having said that, simplifying the interface is always going to be a plus, especially for the older user.
