    Hi all,

Hoping you can help as I’m stumped. Long story short, my oven will turn on, will heat and will work normally but ONLY on timed modes. So, I can turn the temp on, and program on, and then set it to finish in 1 minute. Nothing turns on immediately, but when the alarm starts to say “cooking done”, I can press the manual mode button and everything fires up.

The moment I turn off the oven though, I can’t turn it on again without repeating this. Manual mode isn’t triggering without this.

I have an engineer booked but I just wondered if anybody could figure it out?

when you say turn the oven off what do you mean?

off on the wall ie all power off to the oven
    or
    just turn the knobs off

No, not turning off mains, just on the knobs. So, in short, manual mode isn’t working unless I set a duration mode first, wait for that to end (alarm dings) and then press the “manual mode” button – it then fires off and starts heating up absolutely fine. Just pressing manual mode won’t work.

If the oven is working, and then I turn all knobs off (temp and program), I can’t turn back on without going through the above cycle again.

Might well be – I looked at getting a replacement controller board to avoid anybody coming out but you can’t get them. So yeah, see what happens Wednesday
