Hi, just got an EGL 1400W Bagless Cylinder Vacuum Cleaner, pleased with it, but the purple switch on the top of the hoover by the carry handle just spins and clicks, it doesn’t seem to do anything. According to the somewhat pathetic instructions, it is labelled as an electronic power control switch, but it just spins and clicks, no effect on the hoover at all, unless I am doing something wrong. It has a line marked on the top of the switch, and marks on the sides, but there’s nothing on the hoover to actually correspond to them. Any info would be very helpful, whether I am doing something wrong, or even if it isn’t used on that model, thanks in advance…….
