I am buying my first kitchen on a very tight budget and would love a range cooker. Have seen the above listed. Any one with any experience of them & any idea why they are so much cheaper with comparable ovens.
be very careful when looking for these range cookers ,as Comet sell the Delongi look alike to your elba.
These are a very un rated cooker due to the main selector switch getting to hot from reflected heat of the large front left burner and melting the insulation of the wiring loom to the selector switch.Only repair to be done if this happened is to replace the complete wiring loom and add a deflection plate underneath the burner.
Hope this helps you?
We’ve had a very similar model to this cooker for 6 years and have been very happy with it. It probably isn’t quite as “sturdy” as higher priced cookers, but FOR THE PRICE, you can’t go wrong with it. My son left the oven on all night once, and it did wreck the thermostat, but we had no trouble getting a replacement part within a couple of days for less than 10 quid and installation was not a problem.
