    Hi
    recently had my old fusebox replaced with a dual rcd unit, since then the RCD trips when I turn the oven off or when it reaches temperature? I’m a bit confuses as the old fuse box had one big but oldish rcd wired before it, and the dual rcd’s in the new CU are the same rating. using the grill doesn’t trip the rcd, so I don’t think it is the thermostat or the oven/grill/fan selector switch? I’m thinking must be the oven element? however unsure why it didn’t trip the old rcd, I am a service engineer by trade, usially working on high end embossing machines and laser printers.
    any ideas? should I disconnect the element check resistance and pst results? is there anypoint doing this cold?
    cheers,
    John

    update;

    tried the oven on all other settings and it only fails on the settings that use the bottom element,
    Grill, upper oven element, circular element, and fan only work fine so I’m guessing those components and the thermostat work fine.

    gonna order up the element and see what happens,
    cheers,
    John,

    ps any tips on fitting the element? did one on a built in oven last year, access was pretty good once I got the oven out!
