Electra AWm 900b Wont empty properly

My daughter has an Electra AWM 900b (why is it they always come to dad when theres a problem!!!) which won’t fully empty and seems not to let in clean water when it goes to rinse, so rinses with old soapy water. Is there a solution to this or is it time for a new machine, she is on a budget so a repair would be nice, otherwise I can see me dipping into my pocket again

what the full serial no of this washer as it may be manufactured by Hotpoint or probably Servis

It’s the Servis/Merloni one – empty filter (behind the little door), check the drain coupling at the sink (if appropriate). If all clear, the pump may be failing.
