Electra AWM1100A – 30 second Spin

Hi All

This old beast will not kick up to spin speed for more than 30 seconds (the spin program lasts 4 to 5 minutes), I have already tried replacing the start and run capacitors with no change in symptoms and have checked out as much of the wiring that I can, this still passes an insulation check with flying colours and the old lady would like it repaired if at all possible.

I have just sent off the module to EMW to checked out but does anyone either know what the cause of this fault is and/or have a wiring diagram/sequence chart that they could send me please.

Module came back as no fault found.

Anyone got any information on these?

Sounds like a tacho coil or magnet fault to me…

The module might be detecting an out of balance load and stopping it spinning, make sure the belt is OK, or even try a new one.
