Electra Tumble Dryer 37527 works, then doesn’t, then does..

Hi

I have an Electra 37527 Condensing Tumble Dryer which works for a couple of minutes then stops. Pressing the start button causes it to tumble while the button is held down. However the relay does not engage and when the button is released the machine stops again. After waiting a couple of minutes and then pressing the start button again, everything works as usual for a couple of minutes but then stops. This whole cycle can be repeated for a long as I wait around trying ther start button. There is heat when the dryer is tumbling. There are no strange smells.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Sounds like a faulty relay, part you require is a 1701157, an e-mail to spares@ukwhitegoods,co.uk should do the trick, plug out and watch those sharp edges.
