electric cooker with oven door opening sideways?

My elderly mother is in need of a new electric cooker the free standing kind. Because she is elderly she requires an oven that the door opens sideways. When we went to look for a new cooker today all we could find is the one where the oven door opens downwards i.e hinged at the bottom.

So the question is are there cookers still being manufactured with the oven door open sideways?

The only ones I’ve seen in the past goodness knows how many years came from China and you really don’t want to go there. 😉

Hi

If you go for either a seperate grill and oven or double oven, the main door at the bottom will be a side open one.

Single cavity ovens will be drop down doors 😉 .
