Electric fan oven doesn’t heat up/get warm

Hi,

I have a Leisure AL6CDW electric oven. Everything on the oven is working save for the time display and the oven not heating up.

The other day the electric in the house tripped. The oven was in use at the time, but I’m unsure as to what caused the trip. Switch it back on at the fuse box and since then oven just won’t warm up.

The oven light works. The fan moves. The grill and hobs heat up. I’ve had a look at the terminal block front and back and can’t see anything apparent like a loose wire or anything silly 😀

Any ideas?

Yes, fan element needs replacing.

Simple enough job, just a few screws and clips. Will let you know how I get on.

Out of interest, is it ok to replace an 1800w element with a 2100w element or should I stick with what was originally in the oven?

No it will overheat and pop in no time!
