Electrical connection help

Hi

We have moved into a house that does not have a dedicated fuse for the existing range oven. We have to replace the oven and because of the distance from the box to the kitchen, do not want to lift floors etc in order to run a new oven cable. I have been trying to find out if the Candy CCG9M52PX Range Oven needs its own fuse or if we can just plug it into the existing mains supply. Hoping that someone on here might know as both Currys and Candy can’t tell me?

The instruction manual refers the user to check the rating plate of the cooker delivered. Seems they use one set of instructions to cover several or more models.

Checking a few sites it is rated at 32 amps therefore it definitely needs to be hardwired.

In any event you will need an electrician to provide a dedicated supply to your oven. “Lifting floors” is very unlikely in any case. Oven cables usually come down the wall not up and a new circuit can be installed with little inconvenience. Though it will no doubt require an updated consumer unit (fusebox) fitting as part of the upgrade.
