Every time I switch the Dryer on it trips the electrical ring main in the house.
I have checked the obvious such as the electrical plug and the power point.
Any ideas would be gratefully received.

It seems like you will need to get an engineer in to check the machines insulation. Possibly something has got caught in the element and shorted it out (hairgrip, silverfoil, collar stiffener etc).

This model is not prone to problems like this otherwise, unless it is being used in a damp garage or garden shed of course 😉

Thank you very much for your quick reply. In fact we do operate our dryer in the garage but its not particulary damp. I will take your advice and call an engineer in. However the Bosch engineer is very expensive so hope I can find somebody more reasonable
