Hi everyone, my washing machine recently flooded my kitchen and now my dishwasher won’t work, I suspect it is something to do with the leakage sensor?

I am no engineer so have no clue how to sort the problem, a friend has said to just leave it for a week and them try it again but will it dry our itself?

Any help would be much appreciated

    Many thanks,
    Gemma

Please help us help you. What are the model numbers of the appliances concerned? Why do you think that the washer has affected the dishwasher?

Hi, the model is quite old, its an Electrolux ESF 620.

I suspect the fact that the kitchen flooded and the underneath of the dishwasher was about 2 inches deep with water has caused the leakage sensor to stop the dishwasher working.

If i turn the dial to inbetween programmes, the dishwasher makes a noise for about 10 seconds and then stops.

No water is pumping in and no water is pumping out.

I would be grateful for any help

    Gemma
