Hi all, first post on the site.

I have an Electrolux Aqualux 1200 EW and over the past few years i’ve needed to fix various bits and pieces on it.

Tonight just as a spin cycle started, it started to make a loud grinding. I’m 95{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure there is a coin or something trapped between the inner and outer drums, but i’m not sure how I can get in there to take a look or retrieve the foreign object. I’ve taken the machine to bits in the past, so don’t have a problem opening it up, but if there is an easier way, I would be very grateful to hear it.

If anyone can help, they can have the coin. It could be a very shiney £2!! 😆

    Thanks in advance, Scott.

Possibly the easiest way is to locate the coin first…shine a torch through the holes in the drum and have a really good look, they usually show up. Then with a piece of wire or a thin screwdriver you can ‘manipulate’ it into the sump hose at the bottom of the tub, tip the machine back at 45o, undo the sump hose and hey presto!

Power off at all times please :zap:

Thank you Clive, you are a legend!

A quick look through the holes located the culprit. Unfortunately a shiney £2 coin won’t be winging it’s way to you, but if you have any use for a bra underwire, just let me know!
    😆

Time for bed now, but at least now I know what I need to do tomorrow. 1,000 thanks!
