I have recently moved into a flat which has a built-in Electrolux Aqualux EW 1200I Washer/Dryer.

The dryer is not drying the clothes properly. If I interrrupt the drying operation, the air inside the drum is hot, but also steamy and the clothes are still soaked. (If the cycle finishes, the air cools down, but the clothes are still soaked) I’m assuming that there is a condenser which should be removing the water from the air, rather than re-circulating it? Is this something I can sort out myself… or not?

    Can anyone assist with this?

Blocked condenser housing or solenoid failure on the cold water valve likely. Machine uses a constant trickle of cold water during drying to condense off the steam.

    Power off, if investigating.

Probably the condenser unit is blocked with fluff and/or the water supply to it is interrupted. Not a DIY job, will require stripping down etc. Check link below for a local engineer to sort for you. 😉

Before anything else, check the drain filter at the front bottom right corner is clear and not blocked.
