    Hi there,

I have an Electrolux ew1200l washer/drier and I would be very grateful for any guidance on how to get into this machine to replace the belt.*

I have the exploded diagrams from the Electrolux web-site but they don’t seem to indicate how the different sections (housing, operational parts, etc.) are connected and therefore the best way to access the belt.

Any tips or suggestions for web-sites that I could consult would be most welcome.

    Thanks,

    S

*On starting its spin cycle yesterday there was a noise like something thunking about and the drum now won’t turn in wash or dry mode, but rotates freely when you try to move it by hand.

Usually when a belt ‘goes’ on one of these machines it desitegrates and bits of it get wrapped around the motor shaft. Some even tear into the electric cables as is goes! 😯

Access to this requires lid and rear cabinet half removal by the way!

:zap: TURN THAT POWER OFF FIRST!!! :zap:

If you would like a local engineer to call and sort it for you, then click on the link below. 🙂

Is that so? so I might open it up to find chaos and destruction, nice!

Thanks for the tip off, and the all important safety point, I’ll have a good look to make sure everything is in order and if it’s not just a belt change I’ll be calling in the experts. :salute:

    Very best regards,

    S

Would that also apply to certain Zanussi models?
