Does anyone here deal with these beasts ??

Had to go to 2 yesterday can’t remember the model numbers off the top of my head but they are installed in a farm where it looks like a whole load of foriegn students are living and working.

Iv’e been to them loads of times before for various problems usually due to the hooligans deciding to smash off the lids and coin Mechs to steal the £1 coins and get a free wash. (really smart idea on 3 phase machine).

Anyhow on arrival yesterday after a call to say one was dead and the other was not filling. I was faced with part of the facia being ripped off allowing them to turn the timer position marker (which turns just to show the position of the wash and is not meant to be turned by hand) to a start position and get a free wash. which after phoning the site office was told they did it to save repair costs and damage to the machine and the cost of converting it to free vend. (they asked me last time I went there for a quote to convert them properly which I said £40 per machine)

Anyhow 2 fuses had blown on inside the thing which after checking the machine I could find no reason and blamed it on the fact the timers were being forced round. I phoned their office to say what i’d found and told them that as they had cut off part of the facia they have exposed live wire and that they are not to use them, I put the same on their invoice, I stuck a notice on them saying DO NOT USE.

Stuck my head in today to see if they had left them turned off, and What a suprise they were both on and running.

I see an accident on it’s way

The two fuses you refer to are safety fuses to protect the control circuit ,if some one has advanced the timer by hand this would be enough to blow them .If you need anything else pm me ,But be warned electrolux commercial require full model no and serial no before they will entertain a spares order
