Electrolux Dishwasher – “Groaning – Squealing noise&qu

I have an integrated Electrolux Dishwaher which is 4 years old. Although it is washing ok it has begun to make an intermittent high pitched groaning and squealing noise during certain points of the cycle which I am guessing is the pump on the way out.

Is this the likely cause? Is the pump module fairly easy to replace?

It’s a combined wash & drain pump on this one – one way for wash, reverse for drain. Unlikely to be a bearing failure in that instance as it would make noise continuously, regardless of direction. It’s simple to remove – couple of screws and a bracket in the back – if you do want to check it out further.

Power off, of course.
