electrolux dishwasher i50 motor fitted still having issue

orig issue i50 error wash pump

fitted new one – worked for about 30mins – i50 showed up again

i suspect it may be something to do with the new pump – when i opened the box the impeller part was loose – so i pushed it back into housing, these new wash pumps are like drain pumps where you can pull the impeller out .

im not sure if these impellers should lock into place?

hope this makes sense – if you have done one of these motors you will hopefully know what i mean

to recap – does the impeller need to pushed back into housing so it locks in ?
