this cooker according to the customer has a low grill temp. , he said there was a flash from it and now it wont get hot enough , i take it the stat is gone ? surely the element wouldnt heat at all if it was cooked

These cookers have a dual element, outer element for top oven and inner element for grill. You may find that the inner has gone and the outer still heats at a low temperature. I am unable to tell from the wiring diagram if both inner & outer are used on the grill setting. Both come thru the same thermostat.
