In ovens I have had before you just needed to pull out the old element and push back in the repalcement one. 😕

Tiried to pull out the old element and it seems to have a spring on the back holding it in place. 😳

I don’t want to pull the element out if it will break the spring but I can’t see how its done!

Anybody tell me how to replace the element? Do I need special tools? 😕

It’s not a pull out type of element, in fact hardly any are.

Your old cooker was a Zanussi or AEG/Neff I expect.

This element requires the oven to be removed from it’s housing and gain access that way.

If your not confident in doing this, please check repairs@ and the directories for an engineer, if you are going to have a go, disconnect from the power source 1st :zap:

Thanks for the information. I was going to say they never make things easy – but I suppose it is easy if you know what you are doing! 😕
Despite being a mere slip of a girl, I will have a go myself and will switch the electric off first. 😉
Any tips, let me know – I prefer being told what is bleeding obvious to the rest of the planet! 😳

I notice on another thread you said you could supply elements.
I have not actually obtained mine yet although I checked with my local ‘Allspares’ that they had one – which they have.
How much would you charge for obtaining and sending one to me (EOB846W1)?
