    Hello,

I have experienced the following problems with my Electrolux EOB944W1 oven in the below order:
    1) Oven overheats and switches off, this happened for a number of weeks.
    2) Circular fan element now no longer heats up.
    3) Have checked the case cooling fan and this works when the oven is switched on.
    4) Have checked the grill element and this heats up.
    5) Have checked the oven heating fan and this works fine.
    6) Have visually checked what I think is the thermal cut out – some of the wires from it touch the casing and are charred.

I replaced the thermal cut out and circular fan element and tested the oven, put the temp to 50-100c and the temp light went out when the oven reached temperature – I thought this was the oven fixed.

However, when I used the oven to cook at the weekend it appeared to overheat again – even when temp turned down it was baking hot.

As stated above, have replace thermal cut out and element – however the wires to/from the thermal cut out are charred.

Can someone offer some advice on what may be causing the oven to heat pls?

    Thanks,
    Pete

Does anyone know where I can get a wiring diagram for this model please? In specifics I need the wiring for the selector switch.

    Hi

    See forum rules

7/ Technical information. This is very often specifically copyright to a given manufacturer and will not be publically quoted in the forums.

8/ Please do not ask for wiring diagrams, schematics or for us to sort out any wiring problems over the internet. We cannot judge how competent you are nor the future readers of any thread, we’ll try to point you in the right direction but that’s as far as we can legally go.

My sincere apologies. I had no idea. I have been given the option to buy a wiring diagram for £5 from the ‘contact us’. It wont be me doing the work. it is a domestic appliance repair man.
