Electrolux EOB944W1 Oven

Got a call whilst at my work from my wife to tell me that the oven had stopped working along with various other appliances in the house – I quickly diagnosed that the RCD had tripped. Told her to reset it and she was happy as the oven had come back on.

Came home from work eagerly awaiting my dinner to be met with much swearing and machinations 👿 about how the oven wasn’t working – it wasn’t heating. 😥

I have taken a look and all the lights are working on the front (i.e. oven on and temperature light along with the LCD time display) and the fan is definitely turning but no heat is being generated.

Would I be safe to assume that it is likely the element has ‘blown’. I have removed the cover to the fan and element and not visibly seeing anything untoward but then not sure what I am looking for? I am guessing getting a replacement element is the way to go…

Any other suggestions?

yes it will be the fan element . Elements dont always show any obvious signs that they have failed.
