Have a problem with our Electrolux EPSOPMSS oven,
    prod – 944250330
    serial no – 24900713

Whilst baking it suddenly went pop, and the circuit breaker for the cooker circuit tripped. On resetting nothing on the oven works ie no LEDs, lights, heat or fan etc. There is power to the cooker, as the separate hob works fine.

Have disconnected and checked the element which seems fine (ie not open circuit).

Whats the most likely thing I should check next? Maybe its a thermostat or circuit board?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

I would be looking at the terminal block in the oven and the safety cut-out for a start. Failing that, the big power board may well have fried – expensive, over £90 last time I checked.

    Stay safe, power off.

    Thanks Penguin!

The terminal block looks fine, with no sign of burning.

Where do I find the safetly cut-out? Is this on the power board?

Hi, Have looked at the power board and can now see that on the back the circuit is burnt through in a number of places.

Where do I get a new board?

The numbers on the board are:
    SP0B10 SOEC OL 34th 20th April 1999
    Elux GPDhot TC

    Any ponters woud be appreciated.

    Thanks again

Power board is p/no 3722161-63/9 – email that number through to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk and they’ll get you an updated price and order one for you.

BUT – why did it blow? Most machine made digital control boards seem to suffer from poor solder joints and dry joints; exploded boards (lots of tracks off) is usually a short circuit somewhere.

    Thanks again Penguin!

Yes have some tracks off and some componnts burnt through.

Sounds like its not worth trying to fix this, as cant see obvious short cct elsewhere and part costs are already too high.

Thanks for the great advice. Have learnt a lot.
