    Hi
Moved in 3 months ago and dishwasher decided to stop this weekend. It was bought in 2003 so out of warranty.

Problem is on any setting it doesnt seem to fill up with water. The machine powers up on starting, the tablet door drops then nothing just a humming sound. Ive checked the water mains end filter, and all internal filters, arms to no avail.

Any ideas ? Do I have to deinstall and check all inlets on actual machine for blockages (assume filter on mains end would prevent?) or is it likely to be circuitry fault ?

Sorry this is my first ever dishwasher so any help appreciated

    Cheers
    Alex

    Hi Alex

The humming sound would seem like the water valve is calling for water.
I would double check to make sure that there are no kinks in the fill hose and also check that the tap is actually turning on, as some times the tap handle turns but the shaft of the tap doesn’t. HTH

Remember power off when attempting any investigations

I’m assuming the dishwasher was working OK prior to this and that it hadn’t been moved.
It sounds as though the inlet valve is locked out, possibly due to a partial blockage in the matrix or in the internal pipework.
Unplug your machine, turn the water off and disconnect the fill hose at the dishwasher end. Some water will come out of the inlet. Reconnect the hose, plug in the dishwasher and set it going. If it starts to fill don’t assume it’s fixed, it’ll probably lock out again due to a partial blockage.
If it still fails then it’s probably time to look in repairs@ for an engineer.

    Hope this helps.
