    Guys,

I wonder if you could offer your opinion on this problem.

Went to look at an Electrolux ESL6114 dishwasher yesterday. The problem was that the machine was not going through it’s cycle properly.

When setting any of the cycles the machine sets off by similtaneously filling and emptying for a period of 2 minutes or so. If you open the door during this the filling stops but the pump continues to run.

After a period of 2 minutes the pump stops and the machine continues to fill for about a minute. At this stage no machine stops and nothing further happens.

Only when turning the timer knob on does anything more happen (i.e. the motor kicks in).

I’ve been into the machine and checked for leaks, checked the martix and also the timer, all appearas to be in good order.

Before I go any deeper I was hoping some of you might be able to shed some light on what might be the problem.

    Thanks in advance,

    Mark

Is that the mechanical timer? Is there a little motor on the back of the timer? Maybe the coil is o/c.

Drain pump will only continue to run with the door open if the flood protection system is activated.

    Chris.
