    Hi guys,

I’ve got a problem dishwasher and it would have to be the neighbours.
The machine leaks intermittently, say every 3rd wash and floods a good amount of their floor. Its coming from the front, (door). Every time I watch it, it works.
I’ve changed the bottom spray arm (plastic), but no evidence of splitting, the bottom seal and the goalpost seals.
I can’t imagine it overfilling because the overfill pipe at the rear valve would have water in and would stop filling but i have now come to the end of my tether with it. Never had one cause me so much trouble and it would have to be a neighbour and good friend.

If anybody can shed any more light on the problem it would really be appreciated guys.

    Cheers

    Nick

What’s the PNC no ? As on later models there is an anti-flood pressure switch and inlet valve conversion for the ESL6114.

Maybe door opening slightly during use, just enough to allow a little water to seep out at seal but still holding lock in place.
Seal could be dirty and leaking or on some there is an air vent on the inner roof panel which can become loosed and leak, but this would normally go to base and come out from bottom rather than door.

    Re: Electrolux ESL6114 Dishwasher leaking

Sorry for taking so long to get back with a reply, the neighbours been away since xmas and all has been well ever since, until today.
I finally saw it when it was leaking. It has overfilled. The water was up to the door seal. The strange thing is why it hadn’t put water down the overfill red bleeder tube.

I emptied it and tried it again and it filled to the perfect level.

Is this machine the usual version with the air chamber down the left hand side that comes with the water valve. I’ve swapped loads of these in the past for filling faults.

    Any help would be appreciated

You have a fill level pressure switch and an overfill pressure switch mounted on the RH side of the machine on this model.
PM you email and I can send you some info on this machine

    Re: Electrolux ESL6114 Dishwasher leaking

In all my time, i’ve never come across this version of 6114 Electrolux dishwasher with this type of pressure system. Its usually the big version on the left hand side. It sounds as though theres probably a bit of grease floating around to not leak every time. I just dont understand why the overfill pressure switch doesnt activate.

PM sent Colin many thanks. I would really appreciate some info on this machine.

    Cheers
