ParticipantHelp needed on this one.
When I called the complaint was pump running all the time even with door of dishwasher open. Ok waster in the base it should straight forward. If only it was a case of drying out the base and finding the leak. I did have a lot of water in the base but once dry still persisted in the pump running. There is no float etc for detecting water in the base. left it on Friday to come home to get copy of manual and went back to day. Only system it has is an overfil protect which brings in the pump and the pump still runs with pressure switch disconnected.
Has anyone eles had this or can adviseGeoff

I seem to remember this on a similar model, built-in slimline. I think the pump ran with door open but it turned out to be normal and you just had to wait a minute or two for the programme to kick in. Can’t guarantee my memory though 🙁 .

Hi Mike
No this one only runs with the door closed. Doesnt even bring up a fault code and nothing in the service mode.
I am having to face up to the prospect of it being the module but not totally convincedGeoff

What caused the water in the base?

Hi Mike
Sorry but I do not realy know. Was back at it Yesterday and all I can get it to do is the pump to run for 2 min pause and start again. As the water in the base was clean I can only assume that the either over filled or there is a leak on fill. There is no detection in base for water leak which amazed me for an AEG. Also I have found out from them that during the week prior to this that they had a problem with the power in the area.
Have quoted for a module for now as something is wrong with it as it will not let me get into the service mode but warned then that this may not be all. They are considering their options.
Many thanks for your help and interest Mike and will let you know if I get the chance to repair the unit what I foundGeoff

I was wondering whether it might have something to do with the inlet valve. If it’s the anti-overflow type, the pressure operated magnet thing on top seems to get stuck in the tripped position sometimes. Never have quite understood that particular system and all its foibles. Tapping the valve will reset it but this sometimes only works as a temporary measure.
