ParticipantHi,
I need hinges for the above but can’t get my TDS to work on Vista. Can anyone give me part nos. please?
Also can someone advise how to get the disc to load. It’s 2006 V1 which was still working on XP ’till I got the new laptop.
Thanks

50247623007, appears to come as a kit with both hinges.
There are quite a few programs that do not run under Vista. Not sure about TDS though.
I have XP on both my desktop & laptop but the new laptop I bought the wife last Christmas has Vista.
I dislike it intensely. It is so bloated and slow to load, it constantly nags you all the time you try to open or close something.
The next version of Windows, Windows 7 is now out as a beta version. First reports are that it runs much faster than Vista and does not take up as much processing power.
I’m due to upgrade my main PC but will wait until Win 7 is available.
Most of the main PC suppliers still offer WIN XP due to the general dislike of Vista.
Hopefully someone with Vista has managed to get it to run the TDS disc and can come up with a solution.
Its possible that TDS 2008 will work although it doesn’t list Vista on the jewel case. Not sure if there are any copies available now, apparently they are not going to issue it anymore. 😥

Thanks Jim,
I know what you mean about Vista although my laptop is much faster than my desktop, unfortunately I sold it before christmas but am cosidering a s/h laptop with XP.
TDS was a pain to get into but is a mine of information once in.
Thanks again for the part no.

Just a thought. You could always set up a partition on your new PC and install XP onto that if you still have your XP disc.
You would then have a dual boot system and you could load any software that refuses to run under Vista onto your other ‘virtual’ XP drive.
