I have got an Electrolux ESL63010 dishwasher which has stopped working. I can select the cycle but it makes a funny noise and wont fill with water or anything. My husband has been tinkering with it and has taken off the drain pump which appears to have scorch marks on it. I assume this isn’t normal. We have tested it with a multimeter and it gives a reading of 169.2. We dont know what this means – we just tried to diagnose the problem and all advice on the tinternet seems to point to using a multimeter to test it.
Can someone tell me whether the scorch marks mean the pump needs replacing? What should the readings be when we use the mutimeter? Should I just buy a new dishwasher?
Help!
